we successed in opening a new product line of spa / hot tub in South China , and would like to know if China has some good OEM factories to manufacture our own custom cover for it . this is going to do us a great help ,please suggest .

A high quality hot tub cover will furnish numerous features that enhance the use of a hot tub.  However, none of these features are more important than the safety features a high quality cover can furnish.  The last thing you want is for that beautiful spa you have spent so many enjoyable and restful evenings in to become the source of a terrible accident.

Children really enjoy playing in the water.  However, many children drown each year as they find their way into hot tubs or swimming pools.  Even the most careful parent will attest that it only requires a couple of seconds for a curious child to get out of your sight if you turn your back.  If you have a spa or hot tub on your property, it is critical that you have it covered at all times when not in use.

While many hot tub covers are not meant to hold the weight of an adult but for a short amount of time, they definitely should be able to support the weight of a small child.  Be sure when you acquire a cover for your hot tub that you are familiar with the amount of weight the cover will support.  Do not let a sales rep by with just telling you that thing would hold an elephant.  Have them supply the specifications that verify the precise weight the cover is intended to support.

No cover is worth a spit if it is not properly fitted and used.  Be sure to buy a hot tub cover that is sturdy, properly fitted and has a positive latching system that is approved by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ATSM).  Keeping the cover closed and properly latched when not in use will not only prevent small children from accidentally falling into the spa but will also prevent other items such as limbs and other debris from getting into the water and causing an injury to the people attempting to enjoy the hot tub.

Finally, always keep your water clean and properly treated in order to prevent the growth of algae and other bacteria.  This will prevent children or adults from becoming ill due to being exposed to bacteria because of an open sore or cut on their body.  Following these simple rules will keep you and your children safe from the unfortunately all too common accidents that can occur around any body of open standing water.

i don’t know any other specifics other than there is another trademark on the controller cover that is 2 capital letters, the first is a backward “R” and the second is either a “J” or a “U”. this is NOT a vacuum actuated controller

Approximately what is a “top-off” amount? Is an inch a week too much? My cover doesn’t fit tightly – it can’t – my spa is down in the deck so no place to attach cover straps. Thank you.

Hot Tub Spa Cover 9 Feet Long Straps Secure W/ Pinch Release & Keys

The cover on our hot tub is about five years old and is moderately weathered.

By “weathered” I mean the brown color has faded in some spots and the top itself is more coarse to the touch than when it was new.

I treated it with some Armor All leather product about a year ago but it didn’t work as well or for as long as I had hoped.

Looking for recommendations for a better way ..

I’m giving the tub a major pre cold weather going-over this week.
